PROPANE TANKS AND CYLINDERS

-FOR RENT-

420# CYLINDERS

500 & 1000 US GALLON TANKS

STANDARD RENTAL POLICIES:

INITIAL RENTAL PERIOD

  • A minimum initial rental period of 1 year is required for all residential rentals.
  • Rental fees are paid annually, in advance.
  • After the initial rental period, contracts automatically renew year to year until cancelled.

ANNUAL VOLUME REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL NEW RENTALS

  • Rental customers should expect to consume at least 250 liters of propane per year (i.e. 1 average fill / year into a 420# cylinder). If this level of consumption is not anticipated, buying a new tank or cylinder is likely a better option for you.
  • Due to low consumption; we do not rent cylinders which are only intended to service a Residential Cook-top and/or Generator. Sale only.
  • If you already meet the minimum consumption levels, tying another rental cylinder to your existing one may be the best solution for your Generator. The more storage you have in the event of a power outage, the better.

200# CYLINDER RENTALS

  • Sorry, as of January 2024, we no longer rent (or sell) 200# cylinders due to their low storage capacity, and a lack of consistent supply.

TO QUALIFY FOR A RENTAL CYLINDER(S) OR LARGER HORIZONTAL TANK:

NEW RESIDENTIAL HOME CUSTOMERS

  • Residential rentals can be installed at a single family residence, on mobile & manufactured homes, on park model homes, or at a secondary residence or cabin.
  • All rentals require a designated civic address, a valid email address, and a mailing address.

STATIONARY RV’S

  • RV rentals are only available for:
    • Lots and building sites, prior to transferring the rental to a newly constructed home or business.
    • 4-season “live-in” customers, at locations which permit full-time occupation.

NEW COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS

  • We want to help your business succeed. Please contact our office to discuss your specific requirements.

CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS, BILLING, AND CREDIT TERMS.

  • New customers must provide a valid VISA OR MASTERCARD card when setting up their account, and prior to receiving goods or services.
  • Your initial delivery / set-up services will be charged automatically to this credit card.
  • Customers may request “Auto-charge” for subsequent deliveries. This simplifies the payment process. Ready Propane will simply charge the credit card on file and then send a receipt.
  • E-transfers and cheques are also acceptable for follow-up services.
  • Payment terms are Net 15. After an initial reminder, any overdue balances will be charged automatically to the credit card on file.
  • All invoices, receipts, and delivery notices are sent via email, 1-2 business days after receiving service.

GAS-FITTING, RV HOOKUPS, AND GAS APPLIANCE ISSUES

For everyone’s safety, any regulators or rigid piping attached to your home or business must be installed by a Licensed Gas-fitter. This work should scheduled BEFORE cylinder delivery.

RV hookups and gas appliance issues also require the services of a Licensed Gas-fitter, or a Certified RV (or Appliance) Technician.

PLEASE NOTE: Ready Propane DOES NOT provide Gas-fitting services. There are many gas-fitting companies available locally to help with installation and servicing of regulators, piping, and appliances. Check on-line. We can also provide a local referral sheet if needed.

CYLINDER & TANK DROP FEES

  • For all cylinder deliveries, we charge a fixed drop fee** from Yellowpoint to Buckley Bay, and west to Port Alberni.
  • 250, 500, & 1000 USWG tanks require specialized delivery & lifting equipment. Fees are determined by site.

**Our drop fee includes delivering and placing your new cylinder in its final location, connecting the cylinder to an existing regulator (pig-tail) hose, and leak-testing the final connection. Propane fuel is extra. Locations not accessible by truck, hand-truck, or dolly will be charged as horizontal tank drops.

OTHER MATERIAL FEES

  • 24″ x 24″ concrete pads for cylinders (if not supplied by homeowner)
  • Appropriate concrete pads for horizontal tanks should be installed by the purchaser prior to our arrival.
  • Manifold kit (required if connecting 2 or more cylinders)

RENTAL CYLINDER PICK-UP & TERMINATION FEES

Except in cases where:

  • the customer switches providers while under contract,
  • the customer is in default,
  • cylinder removal is requested “immediately”,
  • and / or specialized pump-out or lifting equipment is required to evacuate or remove the equipment;

those requesting pick-up of their propane cylinder at the end of the rental agreement will not be charged any additional fees.

However, propane remaining in the cylinder (and any pre-paid rent) will not be refunded. As such, we recommend burning the propane level down to less than 10% (or empty if any slope is involved) before requesting a pick-up.

Most pick-ups will occur within the timeline of regular scheduled deliveries to your area.

PLEASE DO NOT allow or attempt to move, remove, or modify rented storage equipment without prior authorization from Ready Propane. Doing so may be unsafe, and can cause damage to the equipment for which you may be liable.

Never worry about fuel again with our proven Remote Monitoring System.

Rent your tank or cylinder from Ready Propane and receive free remote monitoring with no annual charges.

To qualify:

  • Customers must agree to be on our “Auto-fill” program.
  • You must have cellular coverage at your location.
  • Customers must also consume at least 500 liters of propane annually to remain on the program (approx. 2 average fills into a 420# cylinder).

Don’t think you qualify but still want a monitor? No problem. For a small annual fee we can add remote monitoring to your system regardless of your usage.
