Every week we hear from frustrated businesses & homeowners looking to switch propane providers. The stories are always the same. After being approach with a low rate offer, or seeing some slick advertisement, they quickly signed on. 

Sadly, the real “deal” is much different. High volume requirements to keep what’s “free”, surprise junk fees, 100% rental rate spikes, constant run-outs, long-lead times for delivery, and call center chaos are all common complaints.

At Ready Propane, we believe in providing our customers with best in class service, at a fair and reasonable price. We maintain a simple -yet competitive- rate structure, free of the typical marketing gimmicks. Our fully trained staff will help you better understand the equipment or services you need, and we will not pressure you into something you don’t.

We deliver propane consistently and reliably, through all 4 seasons. That way, you always have propane in your tank. We don’t believe in running your tank down to near empty before coming to fill you. Companies that focus solely on accounting metrics like “liters per delivery” only work to fuel customer anxiety. 

For new customers, we can provide free up-front estimates, with no surprises. We also maintain clear policies around tank rentals & sales, who & where we will deliver to, and the other propane related services we offer.

Remember the old Axiom: Price + Service = Value. Price is definitely important. But when it comes to who provides your propane, service matters most…. 

How Ready’s propane pricing works.

Not unlike other fuels, propane prices are subject to supply and seasonal demand pressures. As a general rule, winter is typically peak season for propane prices due to high heating demand, and a more limited supply. 

Crude Oil and Natural Gas feedstock prices, USD/CAD Exchange rates, Federal and Provincial Regulations, geopolitical events, tariffs, and higher storage & transport costs associated with Vancouver Island all factor into local propane pricing. 

Ready’s fuel price per liter ($/L) includes: 

• Federal / Provincial Permitting fees,
• Hazardous Materials Handling (HAZMAT) fees,
• Bulk Storage & Pipeline fees,
• Admin fees.

All Ready Propane customers pay a Delivery Service Fee. This modest flat fee is used to off-set the high costs of diesel, maintains our current vehicle fleet, and helps support the annual training requirements of our staff.

BC Carbon Tax, GST, PST, and Motor Fuel Taxes (when applicable) are extra.
