Invest in Your Energy Independence:

Purchasing propane storage gives residential and commercial property owners complete long-term control over their energy infrastructure. When you own your equipment, you build equity in your property and retain complete flexibility in who you do business with. Having a relationship with a local provider that can provide proper initial installation and professional commissioning are critical to protecting your investment.

A brand new propane tank that is improperly installed and filled can lead to multi-year operational issues. Trapped atmospheric moisture can cause internal corrosion, and system freezes during cold weather. Every new tank sold by Ready Propane undergoes a thorough commissioning process handled entirely by our trained crew.

Our 4-Step Professional Propane Installation Process

Ready Propane takes care of everything on the tank side — equipment sale, delivery, placement, commissioning, and the initial fill. Our trained technicians will ensure your equipment is put in place properly. The rest of your system set-up goes to your licensed gas-fitter, so every part of your installation is handled by professionals. If you don’t have one already, we’re happy to connect you with a gas-fitter we trust.

1 –

Tank Transport & Placement

Ready will deliver your rental tank or cylinder to your property and set it safely onto your poured concrete pad. If you are purchasing a pre-cast pad(s), we will install and level these for you.

2 –

Commissioning

We will conduct an initial safety and damage assessment, then ensure your equipment is pressure up safely without the introduction of moisture.

3 –

Initial Bulk Fill

We will conduct the initial propane fill, then leak test and safety check the equipment. Auto-fill customers will have their remote monitor installed at this point.

4 –

Re-Connection

Where a propane service already exists, we will re-connect and leak test the adjacent outside gas-works. If the Customer is not home to re-start their appliances, the gas will be left off.

Getting Your Whole System Ready

What your gas-fitter handles:

  • Base Preparation: In the case of larger horizontal (ASME) tanks, the customer must provide a solid and level concrete pad capable of supporting the full weight of the tank. Pre-fabricated footings can be purchased, but they are prone to settling.
  • Clearance Compliance: Ensuring the installation location meets required safety clearances from property lines, building openings, ignition sources, and electrical equipment.
  • Site Access: Keeping a clear, unobstructed path from your driveway to the tank pad so our delivery truck and crew can position the vessel safely.
  • Gas-Fitting: Hiring a licensed gas-fitter to run interior and exterior gas lines, install, replace, or service regulators, and connect your appliances. (Ready Propane does not supply, service, or install regulators).

No. To guarantee safety and compliance, we deliver, place, and commission every storage tank we sell using specialized delivery equipment.

Yes — since you own the vessel, painting is up to you. Safety codes require a light, heat-reflective colour (white, light grey, or silver). Dark colours absorb solar radiation and can cause unsafe internal pressure.

No — try Pioneer Fireplace (Parksville: 250-954-0331, Nanaimo: 250-753-2353) or Traveland RV Canada (250-468-1500). See our full FAQ.

Yes. If you do not meet our minimum volume requirements, for a small annual fee, customer owned tanks can be added to our remote monitoring system. You simply need to be enrolled in our auto-fill program and have cellular coverage at your location. This is a common ask of Genset customers. For those consistently using over 250L of propane per year, monitoring is free.
