A propane delivery business built for customers.

Delivering propane on Vancouver Island means navigating steep driveways, gated rural properties, expensive landscaping, unpredictable winters, and changing fuel demand. Ready Propane was built for this. By leveraging the latest monitoring technology and our diverse fleet of equipment -including two custom built 4WD propane tankers- we provide customers total peace of mind.

We supply propane for residential heating, hot water, cooking, generators, and commercial operations. All our accounts are set up with one of the following delivery arrangements:

  • Auto-fill & Auto-Charge: We schedule deliveries using the latest monitoring technology. We adjust our plans to consider long weekends, weather alerts, your usage history or preferences, and seasonal heating demand. This option suits the majority of our customers who prefer Ready Propane manage their deliveries, and keep them topped up.
  • Will-Call / Phone-in: You monitor your own tank level and contact our office when the level reaches approximately 30%. This allows us enough time to schedule your next delivery. It is imperative that Will-call customers check their levels regularly. Especially during the busy winter season.

Our standard delivery window for Will-call customers is 3–5 business days.

Visit our Propane Delivery page for scheduling details, minimum-volume information, and payment terms.

Rent the tank. Leave the maintenance to us.

A propane tank rental gives you access to storage equipment without purchasing the vessel outright. After your initial set-up, you pay an annual rental fee. Ready Propane retains responsibility for maintaining the rental equipment during its service life.

Rentals are reserved for customers with ongoing fuel needs, including home heating and other continuous-use applications. To qualify for a rental, your annual propane usage must meet or exceed 250 litres. Stand-alone Generators do not qualify for a rental.

Our rental options include vertical cylinders and larger bulk tanks for residential, commercial, and agricultural use. The appropriate sized vessel depends on your fuel demand, property configuration, and access.

Here’s what makes renting straightforward:

  • No upfront purchase of the tank or cylinder.
  • A predictable annual rental fee.
  • Maintenance and required inspections are handled by Ready Propane.
  • Remote monitoring is available at no additional annual charge for qualifying Auto-Fill customers.

If your usage is lower, or you prefer to own your equipment, purchasing may be a better fit. We can explain the options before you commit.

Own your tank. An investment in energy security.

Buying a propane tank gives you ownership of your fuel storage equipment. It’s an option for property owners planning long-term propane use. We also sell storage equipment to customers who have low or sporadic consumption such as cooktops & backup generators.

Ready Propane offers vertical TC cylinders and larger ASME bulk storage tanks. We’ll match your new equipment to its intended use, whether it’s supplying a cooktop, a few appliances, or a larger heating load.

Getting a new tank installed can be a complex process depending upon the site and application. Our tank sale service includes delivery and placement, inspection of the equipment, the initial fill, and post-fill leak testing. Proper placement and testing is critical to ensure the vessel is safe and ready to enter service.

We’ll also explain the formal division of work. Ready Propane handles the tank side of the setup; a licensed gas-fitter handles the building’s regulator & gas lines, appliances, and related work. If you need a gas-fitter, we’re happy to connect you with someone we trust.

Cylinder requalification. Plan ahead to avoid panic.

An expired cylinder can interrupt your fuel supply when you need it most. Planning requalification ahead of time helps you avoid discovering a problem when you’re ready for a refill.

Ready Propane provides cylinder requalification for 100# and larger residential and commercial cylinders, including forklift cylinders. Our Transport Canada certified facility in Parksville handles inspections and requalification work, with on-site service available for larger 420# cylinders.

We also provide ASME tank inspections. Stationary bulk tanks and portable cylinders have different inspection requirements, so the first step is identifying the size of your equipment and the service it needs.

Please note: We do not requalify 20 lb or 30 lb RV cylinders.

Contact our office with your cylinder size, a picture showing its date markings, and the number of cylinders needing service. We’ll explain the best way to get your equipment back in service.

Forklift Fleet Services

For businesses running propane forklifts, fuel delivery and cylinder servicing must be prompt and reliable. We understand.

Ready Propane offers on-site forklift cylinder refilling throughout Mid-Vancouver Island, along with cylinder requalification and repair.

If you have a larger forklift fleet, or simply use a lot of fuel, we can help keep your employees on-site and business running smoothly. Ready offers weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly scheduled deliveries that ensure your fleet is never down for lack of fuel.

If a cylinder needs repair, we will transport it to our Parksville facility for service and return it. Keeping fuel delivery and cylinder care with one competent local provider means fewer arrangements for you to manage.

A minimum of four empty cylinders is required to qualify for on-site delivery service. Tell us about your fleet, cylinder count, and operating schedule so we can meet to discuss a suitable service arrangement. If you need to buy or rent extra cylinders to qualify, we can help with that too.

Local Service. Clear Responsibilities.

Great service starts with clear communication.

Our office will explain our delivery process, your equipment options, or your service requirements before we get started. You’ll receive clear pricing information and practical guidance about the details that may affect your request.

For a fuel delivery, that may include putting away pets and providing clear access. For a rental or purchase, it means understanding which work installation work is handled by our crew and which requires your gas-fitter. For a requalification, it means confirming the equipment we can service and then scheduling ahead.

We’ve served Vancouver Island since 1993. Our focus remains straightforward: Safety, honesty, good communication, and all-weather reliability.
